About this apartment rental
Gene and I live in Portland, Oregon, and the Kulakane holds a very special place in our hearts. We first visited Maui and stayed at the Kulakane on our honeymoon in 1987, making this our true “honeymoon home.” Over the years, we returned many times, exploring different islands and properties throughout Hawaii. No matter where we stayed, we always found ourselves coming back to the Kulakane. Eventually, we made our dream a reality and purchased our own oceanfront condo here. Today, we treasure every opportunity to spend time in Maui and enjoy all that island life has to offer.
What we love most about our condo is its unbeatable oceanfront location. Situated on the second floor, it provides both privacy and security while offering breathtaking, unobstructed views of the Pacific Ocean. Being just steps from the shoreline means we can enjoy the sights and sounds of the ocean from sunrise to sunset. For us, there is nothing better than staying right on the water. While we occasionally visit the nearby resorts for dinner or cocktails, we're always happy to return to the peaceful comfort and intimate atmosphere of our beachfront retreat.
We also enjoy cooking and spending time at home, so we've equipped the kitchen with everything needed to prepare anything from a quick breakfast to a gourmet meal. Our lanai serves as an outdoor living room where we dine, relax, read, play games, work remotely, and spend time with friends. Whether we're watching the waves, enjoying the warm trade winds, or taking in Maui's spectacular sunsets, we never tire of the incredible ocean views.

Debbie and Tony make the place like home. It’s always fun to be around them and the renters that we seem to see every year. Our condo was clean and well equipped. 42 years ago we stayed at the Kulakane on our honeymoon and have been coming back close to every year.

I have been coming to stay at The Kulakane for over 20 years. The grounds are well kept(although I miss the beautiful Japanese garden} The unit 213 is always clean and the utensils for cooking are more than adequate. However,the stove needs replacing. Debbie Reynolds is an excellent manager,and is vey helpful. As is Tony her partner. I have recommended the Kulakane to several friends. Hope to be back again next year
