Good but could be great

The view from our room was lovely, we could see the mountains from every window. Really beautiful. The room was cozy and clean. Bed was really comfortable. Staff was really professionals, kind and friendly.

The location is great for the view however it is not good it terms of position if (like us) you don’t have a car. We arrived on a Saturday and there were just few bus rides during the day and there are no buses on Sundays. We had to take a taxi on Saturday night and on Sunday as well so you have to consider that cost as well if you don’t have a car (we paid almost 30€ each ride). Another thing is that from the Booking description of the hotel we didn’t understand it was an only vegan hotel, the breakfast didn’t have much options and we found it a bit uncomfortable that it was served only from 8am to 9:30am.

À nice little hotel

This is a perfect hotel for an overnight stay or more. In a charming village with a spectacular view. Facilities may basic, but are functional and comfortable and spotlessly clean.

The menu is essentially vegan, based on cucinana botanica. It is well prepared and ery tasteful. However, I missed real milk for breakfast and an egg would have been welcome.

The hospitality and food of this place is extraordinary. Being a vegan hotel they provide you with insight into, what this kind of food is all about. For us a fantastic journey into vegan living. Together with that, a fantastic hospitality. We are coming back.

Niceplace to stay, great views, great hosts.

The hosts were very nice and friendly, the view of the valley was magnificent, in the evening and in the morning, area is quiet. It was bit far from the city but the hosts were very helpful to get us into town (our original plan included a rental car, but had trouble getting it so it was buses and trains).

Breakfast was more in a vegan style, not too much my style

Perfect escape.

The location was tranquil and calm with amazing views. A lovely garden for breakfast and for relaxing. Sparkling clean, with an excellent bed and spacious bathroom. The staff were delightful.

Plant based hotel!

We made the mistake of booking a room in a hotel that ONLY caters for plant only eating customers. No meat or fish or cheese or butter or normal milk for breakfast. So fake ham and cheese which were not to our taste. So breakfast was for us a let down. But ok I guess if you’re a vegan/plant eater only!

Bed was very soft - when either of us turned over the other woke up. It was like a ship at sea - so we didn’t sleep well

The location was beautiful! The staff were extremely friendly and hospitable and honestly It couldn't have been any better! The room was big, the view was stunning and the bathrooms were clean. The bed was also very comfortable and cosy! The food was also fantastic and fresh!

Beautiful place in the mountain, large room, modern bathroom. Staff very friendly and welcome. Easy to park the car. Good breakfast with homemade products. Happy to have been their !

Another great stay where the welcome is second to none.

We stayed at the Hirondelle in May and we vowed that we would return after having a lovely experience and stay. On this occasion, the welcome was very warm and friendly, just like the first time we stayed. We were travelling by bike and we were able to store the bikes in a secure garage. I would strongly recommend the hotel for others who are bike touring and heading for the Grand St Bernard pass.

For some reason, we found the beds a bit hard on this occasion but, that could have been due to our long day spent in the saddle.

The staff were wonderful, nothing was too much trouble. The views from the room were stunning.tucked away but what a gem that is worth while finding. Breakfast simple but everything fresh and full of taste.

Lovely little place in a beautiful position.

We were not aware that the restaurant was entirely vegetarian/vegan. This was not made clear from the Booking.com details and, oddly, not mentioned in reviews we read. Perfect for me - not for my husband.

A lovely short stay. We'll be back!

We liked the friendly welcome and the ambiance as soon as we arrived. We liked the contemporary style of the hotel. The bedroom was comfortable and bright. The vegetarian menu for dinner was excellent and we enjoyed the focus on locally produced ingredients. Ideal for a short stay en route to the Grand St Bernard pass.

Our room faced the road and there was a bit of noise from passing cars.

Excellent in all respects.

We spent an enjoyable and relaxing weekend here. Our stay was very comfortable and the food, both breakfast and dinner, made using quality local ingredients, was excellent. The hostesses were exemplary (and helpfully spoke good English). The hotel is in a tiny village a few kilometres up the hill above the fascinating Roman city of Aosta. Our room was sizeable, well decorated and spotless and had beautiful views over the Aosta Valley and the Italian Alps.

What an excellent find. The location suited us perfectly. The views are superb. No problem finding it. Dinner was delicious and a good choice. Altogether a gem of a hotel we would recommend to anyone.

Beautiful little hotel in a spectacular setting

We stayed for one night on our way home from Venice. The hotel is in a little village up a steep, winding road above Aosta with spectacular views of the mountains on all sides. The hotel management kindly sent details of how to get there easier than following Satnav. The hotel has a bar and restaurant, a sun terrace, beautiful little garden and a free car park. Our room was spotlessly clean with modern furnishings, a huge comfortable bed and a very stylish en-suite bathroom with an big shower and bidet. We had beautiful views from the large windows and Juliet balcony. We enjoyed drinks in the bar and a delicious evening meal, with local specialties, at a very reasonable cost. Breakfast included cereals, breads, delicious cakes, fresh fruit salad, yoghurts, cheese and ham. Staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. There are beautiful walks signposted in the village and the hotel provides free maps in the foyer.

Hirondelle has recently been refurbished. It's al done very contemporary and tasteful. The people running the accommodation are very friendly and helpful. everything is super-clean. We had a quiet room with lots of space and beautiful views.

Beautiful location, excellent staff. A family run hotel with a good bistro menu. exceptionally clean and very pleasant rooms which I think have been recently renovated.

Please update the towels in the bathroom. They were thin, tired and worn. They really let the bathroom down
