The history of the property, the grounds and the breakfast.
It is an old property, so new facilities are not to be expected.

A special house and property with a lot of history and character. June and Stevie were lovely hosts and made us feel very welcome and looked after. Tye gardens are beautiful and it’s a lovely country quiet setting. The bed was big and comfortable and we had the best sleep of our trip so far. Breakfast was amazing beautifully cooked and presented and very generous. Considering the food and facilities we felt this accommodation was amazing value for money.

We loved it, we were treated very well, house is full of character.
Breakfast was the best we had all holiday.
Was given a good tip for an evening meal at the golf club nearby was excellent.
Don’t expect a sterile hotel room. Bed was very comfortable, we were in the master bedroom
We didn’t dislike it but the shower wasn’t as good as it could be, but water was hot

This is a beautiful, eccentric property steeped in history. You eat breakfast at a long table, like the lord and lady of the manor! The house is full of unusual objects and interesting paintings, it is a bit like stepping back in time. There is a lovely walled garden running wild. Breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious.
The man of the house was rude, verging on aggressive when we arrived because of a miscommunication about times. We had apologised immediately but he gave the sense that our presence was an annoyance. Bit of a Fawlty Towers moment. His wife was the total opposite.
If I had been staying here alone I probably would have left.
There was no lock on the bedroom door.
