Kunang Kunang Heritage Villas

I could not think of a single reason why this accommodation does not have a review score of 10, or why this accommodation would have a single bad review. This place was the most amazing place we have ever stayed at. When booking you could pick your own villa, because they all differ from each other and are original. You will stay in a centuries old Malaysian villa and why one could be scared that this would not pleasant: think different, because this was the best hotel experience ever. The villas are equipped with a good airconditioning and even more amenities than someone would need. The property hangs Batiks in the bathroom (which you could buy, tip ;)), wicker flip flops, gives soft towels for the pool, a mosquito net around the bed, UV-umbrellas, mosquito repellent, DEET and even more. Wooden bathtub was such a cool and relaxing experience and bathroom/living room were so cutely decorated. You can easily taxi to Pantai Cenang all day and night within 10 minutes by Grab! Villas are spacious, cool, you can open all windows, there are no bugs or insects inside, since the wooden villa is equipped with netting in-between of the seams of e.g. the wooden walls. Rooms are very cozy and comfortable and the beds slept amazing. The pool was the best experience as it really floats in the swamp! Pool is perfect temperature and the sun beds were on a perfect place in the sun. Views of the property are beautiful since there is a pretty lake next to the property. Breakfast was delicious as it was traditionally Malaysian. And if you do not like that, the staff is more than happy to create another meal during your relaxing day here since the menu is very extensive and so yummy! Tip: try the fresh mango juice! The most amazingly friendly and genuine staff who were there everyday to help you with everything to make your stay even more exceptional. They were so kind, personal and made us have the best stay ever here. BIGGEST recommendation in Langkawi!!! We will be back!

The cleaning team came up to make the room and bring fresh towels every day. They also sprayed the houses with bug repellent to prevent excessive bug infestation.

Rooms are wooden with cracks in the floor and the walls which allow some bugs and lizzies to get in. The breakfast is also very mid and without nice options in my opinion. A bad value for money option as we paid 120€ per night.

Absolutely beautiful villas, well decorated and extremely comfortable. Lovely pool and garden and plenty of spots to relax. Good quality breakfast with lots of variety.

The old Kampung Heritage buildings, the ambience and the great use of wood and space combined. The food was great, reasonably priced and the staff very attentive to our needs…including the two cats!

All was fine tho maybe bottled soap in bathroom instead of solid small soap bars wrapped in plastic.
