    The location is simply sublime, providing a 5 star housing experience with batik robes, beautiful bath and immense shower. Lots of reviews talk about noises at night but obviously when you book an old kampung style house, its to be expected. Its part of the charm. Food at the restaurant is among the best malay food we had (coming from my malay partner, by the way, so trusted source)

    The staff was lovely throughout and housekeeping was especially efficient at turning over the rooms while we're at breakfast. While it is nice that breakfast was complimentary, it could have been improved exponentially if kept warm. That said, I realised this type of accommodation isn't my cup of tea as the sounds (lizards, insects, trees rustling the roof) aren't quite what I'm used to. It is a tad too rustic for me as a city person.

    I can't fault Kunang-Kunang Heritage Villas - ours was clean, comfy and spacious. The staff are super friendly, and their customer service was second to none. Oh, and the food was awesome! Can't wait to return!

    Beautiful hotel, and good breakfast. But service is non-existent, staff were lazy and not doing much (most of Penang/Langkawi was like this). Location is fine if you have scooter otherwise have to call grab everytime, not very convenient.
