Lovely little cabin perfect place to stay for our three nights on Naoshima

The guest house was exactly what we needed for our Naoshima trip. The hosts was amazing, super helpful when we missed our bus and helping us get settled and helping with restaurant reservation and maps. The house was small and very well suited for a couple, with a great wet room with ofuro and shower. All was clean and had helpful instructions. Thank you so much for all the care and for hosting us!

Lovely well equipped little house to base yourself in on Naoshima. Owner was very helpful (despite us not having any Japanese). Any easy bike ride or walk to the galleries and nice restaurants nearby.

The place was very nice and had rent-a bikes that we used. It was comfortable and warm.

The main problems is that we arrived on a Tuesday and there were no restaurants open on Tuesdays around our place. The only convenience store was over a mile away so my husband had to go by bicycle. We speak Japanese so could figure this all out but most people would be totally stranded. The management met me and should have told me that the only open store on Tuesdays was over a mile away and that the only open restaurant was a couple miles away. I had hurt my ankle the previous day so getting around was not easy. The only other problem was that there was no lower sheet for the futons. There should be a bottom sheet and actually a clean top sheet too unless they change the cover sheet on the cover futon each time. I actually think the town needs to figure out a way to not every one of the few restaurants be closed on the exact same day. Could have had real coffee rather than dried coffee given the price of the place.
