Le Grand appartement dans Dieppe - Charming home 2-8 guests

Good location.

Ok. So I’ll be 110% transparent and then you can decide if this is the experience you want. I guess this place is charming. Cute layout, has a little patio area off the living room and a garden. It has all the things needed to make it a fantastic place to stay and the hosts respond to enquiries promptly…HOWEVER the second you walk into this veryyyy old building there is an overwhelming smell of damp. It’s rustic however the smell is awful. They have provided a humidifier which I’m afraid does not really do much for the smell. The living room, kitchen and 1 bedroom is upstairs and in the basement is a very outdated bathroom and 2 bedrooms. It is in no way a luxurious or an even comfortable stay- the curtains in the bedrooms look and smell like they haven’t been washed in this century. Bedding looked clean, however didn’t smell fresh. Towels were horrible- we didn’t use them on ourselves. We found a urine soaked and stained bath mat hanging up in the bathroom, as if it was freshly cleaned for us to use! We ended up making beds on the living room floor for all of us because the downstairs was horrible. Not worth what they’re charging in my opinion. We are not even picky people- but this was too far. We were a small group of adults and kids, def not suitable for kids in my opinion. Windows are all super old school, you can tell not much has been done to keep the place up besides a basic clean up after each guest. Nice sized garden but no upkeep it seems. It’s so disappointing as I said it has so much potential to be great, but needs some major TLC. If you have allergies, asthma, fear or spiders and insects and high expectations please save yourself the trouble. It’s dusty, full of cobwebs. The old school stove ran out of gas and so the owner needed to bring a gas tank and even then it took almost 30mins to boil a pot of water for pasta. Again very disappointed, doesn’t seem like they care to update or deep clean the place.

Superbly located near Dieppe’s centre and all amenities. Nice outside balcony with table and chairs. Plenty living/dining space.

Only one bathroom with toilet inside makes it difficult for adult group use of the house, which we were. Also, the third bedroom has day beds which is ok for two people or children, but not really for more than two adults. Just needs more accurate description on the Booking.com site. Had to chase owner for access instructions which hadn’t been sent via Booking.com, but owner was very responsive and helpful.

Good location, and could house a lot of people, although I had to have a single bed with another friend of mine.

Toilet constantly flowing in to pan, making a noise throughout the night. When we used the toilet it wasn't filling up the cistern fully to then flush away

Beautiful little flat in town, yet quiet and cosy with an easy walk to the centre and the beach. Very comfortable beds and good facilities. Nice French garden. A very homely place to stay. Easy to contact host. Superb value for money.

No complaints - the key to the front door requires a little skill, be gentle!

wonderful location, close to all interesting places and restaurants! Nice terrace and garden in the house

It would be nice to do some extra maintenance in the house

L’impression d’un chez soi chaleureux, convivial et deco et choix de livres soignés . Le coin cabane dans le souplex. La grande table.

Il manque àu moins une poêle dans la cuisine. Le four n’est pas optimal. Le bruit de la rue pour les chambres de ce côté .

L'emplacement à 5 minutes à pieds de la Mer La mise à disposition de linge de lit et bain propres ! Ce qui est très appréciable.

L'appartement reste un peu humide, dans son jus et sombre mais en été avec le soleil cela va quand même !

L’appartement avec le petit jardin est vraiment super!
