Wonderful stay at Mamere's Guest House!

Our family of 4 (kids ages 6 and 8) stayed in the Wolf Den room and loved it. It was perfect for 2 adults and 2 kids, with separate bedrooms and a private bath. The bath was very roomy with a tub/European shower in one room and sink/toilet/etc in the other. A prior review mentioned that there was trouble getting the shower to work - not the case for us - everything worked perfectly. We also really appreciated having washer/dryer available in the house. Emily and Mike were amazing hosts - easy to communicate with, accessible and helpful during our stay, lots of suggestions for things to do locally, and a pleasure to chat with at breakfast. The breakfasts were fantastic, as were the chocolate chip cookies waiting for us on arrival. We would definitely stay here again without hesitation. A real gem.

Exemplary place to stay

Wonderful owners who took exceptional care of me even before I arrived. Delightful old place and yet fully-functional. Delicious, home-made breakfast - a great array of options. Great coffee. A beautiful garden with shaded seating for breakfast, coffee or afternoon tea/wine - many of the plants in bloom. Great location. A place and its guests thriving on the TLC of the charming owner and operator family.

Simply Amazing. Would recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

Staying at Mamere's was an amazing experience. We came for 4th of July, but were unable to secure tickets to fireworks event in town. When we arrived, we found they had left us two tickets on the bed! It absolutely made our evening. The next morning breakfast was incredible, and relaxing, and the innkeepers were very friendly. 100% would stay here every time I come to Independence/Monmouth.

Overall, I'd come here again, as well as recommend it to anyone I know traveling to Monmouth.

the staff were amazing....really made us feel welcome and at home. We had the entire third floor to ourselves. Breakfasts were above expectation.

The only downside was the bathroom. It only had a tub, no shower.
