Hotel Cerro Lodge is a full immersive rainforest experience . Howler monkeys on your bungalow roof, scarlet macaws (we saw 6 pair! 12 scarlet macaws perched in a tree, fly by (one pair at a time) and land in another within view over the course of one hour at breakfast. A group of howler monkeys ran up and down the tree branches! On our way back to our room we encountered an entire howler monkey family in branches above the walkway just resting! Two parents, an adolescent and a baby!! They were right above us in full view. The forest is magnificent every where you look. The staff is so accommodating. The shower in our room had a screened side to a garden with tall plants and trees created just for the shower get the room had its own air conditioning unit. Such a well thought out, special place in the forest. We are better for having experienced it. And their restaurant for those who know, is true, authentic Italian!! My husband is 100% and was so impressed. What wonderful surprises awaited us at Hotel Cerro Lodge. We are so grateful to everyone there.

Me encantó , de hecho lo mejor de mi viaje, súper atento el personal, un lugar relajante , la pizza de lo mejor , la piscina excelente, un sitio para descansar y olvidarte del resto.
De haber conocido antes , me quedaba más días.

This place is a hidden gem! There is nothing like hearing scarlet macaws squawking several times a day! Their visits to the feeding station is a sight to behold!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were amazing helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable but fairly small. The air conditioning worked great. We had a nice shower,unfortunately the water never got even a bit warm. The brand new pool was an amazing place to watch the wildlife. The feeding station that attracted macaws and monkeys was super fun!. The paths were all well lit. The food at the lodge was the best we have had anywhere in the country I'd say!
