Worst experience in 40 years of travel.
The lady waited for us after 10 pm
I booked Apartamentos Clavero for a stay with my 5-year-old daughter, arriving late around 10:15 PM. Within minutes of entering the room, at approximately 10:30 PM, I tried turning on a light switch, which caused a loud bang and flash, tripping the fuse and leaving us in complete darkness. After fumbling in the dark and nearly killing myself tripping on uneven floors I located the electrical panel and reset the fuse to restore power.
Just 30 minutes later, we became trapped in the dirty, cold bathroom. Fortunately, we were together, and I had my phone with me. I called the front desk repeatedly, but no one answered. After about 30 minutes of desperately trying to open the door I called Spain’s emergency number (112, equivalent to 911). By the time police arrived, it was past midnight. Just as they showed up, I finally managed to pry out some screws from the faulty door hardware using my nails, freeing us and preventing the need for them to break in. The officers inspected the nonfunctional door mechanism and filed a report. During our ordeal, my daughter injured her nail bed while trying to help me.
The property itself was in appalling condition:
• The emergency kit under the sink was grimy and empty.
• The fridge had thick mold buildup.
• Dirty, smelly mops were piled in the bathroom.
• The couch armrests were broken.
• Pillows smelled of sweat and had stray hairs on them.
• The curtain rod was hanging loose at one end, with the curtain about to fall.
In response to my calls and texts sent while trapped (and follow-ups the next morning), the management simply replied: “Everything is fine.” This level of negligence and disregard for guest safety is unacceptable, especially with a young child involved. Avoid this place at all costs – it’s unsafe, unclean, and poorly managed.

the booking process, finding the location, arranging the time to meet the host to collect keys, were all a simple process. the location was excellent. all necessary facilities available.
the security deposit was cancelled within 24 hours of my departure.
the wifi code on the wall just did not work with any of the available network names that showed on my phone 'search nearby' networks . i have unlimited wifi with my service provider, so i did not depend on the location wifi. but it was not clear which available netowrk was the correct one, as the apartment name did not show.
just to note - the bed is on an upper lever via a narrow wooden stairwell, and great care needs to be taken when using the stairwell to the sleeping area. note also that bathroom downstairs, bedroom upstairs .

The location is 10/10 but the apartament needs renovation.
The localization is the biggest advantage. The apartament was cleaned and well prepared. Laura who welcomed us was very kind and helpful. Beds were really comfy. The light outside on the patio is on all night but for us it was not a problem because we had sleep masks.
Even though we could tell the bathroom was cleaned well before our arrival it was not enough - it should be all renovated due to black mold that appears everywhere. It’s very unhealthy and is the biggest problem this apartament has.

The air conditioner didn’t work 9 times out of 10, it was extremely dusty and just nasty. Every night we heard a strange noise — turns out there are cockroaches living inside the air conditioner! They come out every night. Horrible experience
Our 100 euro deposit wasn't fully refunded, after my questions to clarify the reasons the hosts just ignored me. The hosts can't communicate in English clearly, we had issues with the apartment upon arrival and the lady receptionist could hardly speak English and understand our questions.

An excellent location. Good to have the sofa-bed as the mezzanine level bed was unsuitable for me. Good that I could sleep on sofa-bed and friend on another level.

Good budget option in a handy location
Central location - walking distance to the main sights, beaches and transport. Place functional for a few nights stay at a good price. Communication with hosts and entry to property were easy. Self-catering possible thanks to well-provisioned kitchen and good supermarket nearby.
Not the cleanest place and a few broken tiles and light fittings. More lights in the kitchen area would help with food prep.

Disappointingly grubby, unkempt and not welcoming.
Location and apartment was very secure
Apartment was tired, unloved and needed some serious updating. The stairs were not full tread and were not suitable for all clients. The height of the bed area was far too low. Although the bathroom facilities were fine, they were grubby with broken hooks. There were some very poor repairs to curtains and settee cover. The freezer has not been defrosted for a very long time. In all, this apartment was disappointing, grubby and mot somewhere I would recommend.

A nice little studio apartment near Málaga city
The accommodation was in a good location. An approximate 15 minute walk to Calle Larios and Plaza de la Constitución in Málaga, with bars and restaurants on the way. There is a bus stop almost outside the apartment block and a small supermarket/convenience store within two minutes' walk. The studio apartment was clean and comfortable. One double bed, a sofa bed, table and chairs, a kitchenette with a 2 ring hob, washing machine, fridge, kettle and a microwave. There was no toaster. There was also a TV and WiFi. The bathroom consisted of a large shower, sink and toilet. A hairdryer was also provided.
I was charged for towels that were stained as my hair dye ran on to the towels. I did not dye my hair at the property.

Property was ok and central
Victor was rude! Sent us a pin drop which didn’t lead us to the property and my father in law has had an operation so couldn’t walk fast and we were 20 minutes late. He made a brexit comment (which incidentally I voted against). Note, you need your passport and 100euro deposit. I stayed up the road and had no issues with our check-in which didn’t involve any of that.

Good place to stay for a few nights in central Malaga.
We needed somewhere to stay at VERY short notice, after deciding to prolong our stay by a couple of days after an afternoon spent drinking and eating in Plaza de la Mercad :) This place was literally round the corner, and the communication was brilliant considering we were looking to get in just an hour or two later. Place was grand for a couple of days and very handy to the Plaza and the historic centre of Malaga. Comfy bed and clean rooms are all you really need when you're not spending that much time in the place, and we got that.
There's not much natural light, and it is a bit cramped. Wouldn't plan on staying more than a couple of nights.

Budget clean apartment in a great location.
The host was really kind and communicative as our bus was late arriving into Malga.
The apartment didn´t really look like the photo. There were 3 of us and the photo showed and apartement with a mezanine, in fact we had a double bed and a sofa bed all in the same small room. It was OK for 1 night, but any more would have been too much.

Excellent and 10/10 Stay. Beautiful Modern Apartment
The room was beautiful, very modern and spacious with all the essentials like washing machine and kitchen. The location was very safe and secure with gated access into the complex. The host was very nice however, didn't speak English but Google Translate helped us out.
The check-in process could have been a bit easier, especially with the time availability. Apart from that it was a 10/10 stay.

The location is excellent, very close to the centre, convenient for eating out. The room is modern, clean and with good facilities including a fridge, microwave and tea kettle. Shower unit is very spacious, there is an armchair provided in the room which enhances the comfort.
If a sliding door is installed rather than using a shower curtain which will let water splash out, but it is just very minor point and it is good as it is with just a little bit of care when using the shower.
