Everything was perfect! I chose Haiya because I was looking for a high-end ryokan experience outside of the typical tourist areas and it did not disappoint. Even before I arrived, the communication from Haiya about logistics was much appreciated. The shuttle to/from Awara Onsen station was so convenient and easy to find. The check-in procedure was smooth. A delicious kaiseki dinner and breakfast were served in a private room in the dining area. The public onsen was so relaxing. My room was spacious, quiet. and comfortable with a snowy garden view. Of course, the service was excellent in every way.
