Posada Valle de Güemes

It was a little oasis in the middle of the country.

The most beautiful pool I’ve ever seen. Also loved the bathroom tiles.

The salt water infinity pool is refreshing. The surrounding is so beautiful and peaceful. It’s right on the Camino. The attached restaurant serves some amazing dishes. The staff are super welcoming.

Nothing

The swimming pool area but we did not arrive in time to use it and in the morning it was too cold to use the pool before we left.

I was really disappointed with the check in process and overall service. I booked the room in my name, but my partner was allowed me to check in without me being there using only his ID. The girl from the restaurant proceeded to talk only to him. Never once giving me any acknowledgment. The following day at reception the same strange behaviour continued. The same girl who had checked us in never once directed any of her attention to me, no eye contact, practically turning her back on me while addressing my partner for orders. Racist, Sexist, culturally ignorant, lack of education. I have no idea what the root cause of this behaviour was. I had been really looking forward to staying in this property but it was a complete disappointment. The property was in need of a refurbish. The bin in the bathroom was completely covered in rust. The jacuzzi outer panel was no longer attached, we had to use a plaster to hold it in place. The jacuzzi itself was a lot smaller the expected and not particularly inviting. The room room decor was rather dark and I got bitten several times by mosquitoes despite applying repellent. If it’s that bad a net should have been provided.
