Posada Valle de Güemes

This rural village is stunningly beautiful, quiet and idyllic. The gardens and pool are very nice. The pool is salt water and solar heated. I could have spent all day just in and out of the pool. The only thing better than the pool is the restaurant! The staff are super friendly and professional with quite a bit of English and the food is really quite good. This place is an absolute diamond and you should go out of your way to stay with them.

Loved the building, the setting, the large jacuzzi bath and our room, which overlooked countryside and the swimming pool. Used the pool, which was a fab experience. Enjoyed eating in the family restaurant (minutes away)

Nothing. Checking in and out was done via the adjacent restaurant but that didn’t cause any issues.

Large room and clean

There was an ant infestation. I assume they will control this shortly.

The swimming pool area but we did not arrive in time to use it and in the morning it was too cold to use the pool before we left.

I was really disappointed with the check in process and overall service. I booked the room in my name, but my partner was allowed me to check in without me being there using only his ID. The girl from the restaurant proceeded to talk only to him. Never once giving me any acknowledgment. The following day at reception the same strange behaviour continued. The same girl who had checked us in never once directed any of her attention to me, no eye contact,practically turning her back on me while addressing my partner for orders. Racist, Sexist, culturally ignorant, lack of education. I have no idea what the root cause of this behaviour was. I had been really looking forward to staying in this property but it was a complete disappointment. The property was in need of a refurbish. The bin in the bathroom was completely covered in rust. The jacuzzi outer panel was no longer attached, we had to use a plaster to hold it in place. The jacuzzi itself was a lot smaller the expected and not particularly inviting. The room room decor was rather dark and I got bitten several times by mosquitoes despite applying repellent. If it’s that bad a net should have been provided.
