Beautiful hotel restored sympathetically with an interior design palette to suit. All member of staff were welcoming, chatty & friendly - immediately making you feel like a valued guest. Wonderful food - simple menu but changing daily to maximise availability of local produce. Amazing location above Hawes just a gentle 1.5miles away

We thought the staff were fantastic and the house itself was authentic and full of character. The food was lovely, and presented very well.
Unfortunately, the boiler broke to the side cottage where we were staying, they placed a small heater in there for the night but it wasn’t sufficient. We had to have a freezing shower in the morning. I understand things like this happen from time to time but it spoilt our stay a bit really. We were compensated but I would rather have had a warm room and a hot shower in the morning.
