Extremely disappointing. Parking is on main street and vacant places are as rare as hens teeth
Absolutely no room service, clean room,empty bin, check towels never happened
A Young man seemed to be the only member of staff.

The Schooner is an old hotel in need of a bit of a revamp in some areas but we knew that before we arrived. There is no carpark but free on street parking all around and we even found some despite there being some sort of 2 day art festival on. The location on the main highsteet is great and only minutes walking to Alnmouths beautiful beach.The staff were friendly and helpfull and the beer garden is lovely especially as it was a sunny weekend. The actual bar and restaurant area is also nice. Our room was small but more than adequate with a surprisingly modern bathroom. We didnt eat there so can't comment on that. I would definitely stay again for the price we paid.

The hotel was clean and presentable, although no hot water to the shower in the morning. The hotel was being refurbished but this did not distract from the stay.
The staff were polite and helpful.
We had an evening Indian meal at the hotel was was fantastic.
Overall the stay was good value for money.

Hotel is ok, staff are polite and helpful. But someone kept knocking on my door both mornings and when I said "just a moment" the person would say sorry and walk away. this happened several times and it made me feel rather uncomfortable.
