Príncipe Real Guest House

I loved the fact that it was very well organized, i got an email with all the details a few days before my arrival. It included all the indications on how to get into the building and the room. Overall the facilities were a little like a hotel but without the front desk: rooms were cleaned and picked up every day which was very appreciated. It was very clean and matched the pictures perfectly. And there was great AC in the room.

I was unfortunately woken up every time someone entered the facilities or moved around between their room and the kitchen (including the cleaning staff at 10 am using the vacuum cleaner). I believe it would be good to add rugs to the rooms and the hallway in order to absorb some noise. Also the doors were very noisy if people didn’t pay attention so maybe a written reminder on the door would be helpful. The beds were not comfortable at all while the pillows were great and of rather average size. There was a duvet covered by a duvet case which in my opinion doesn’t make sense with such weather. It would be good to have a lose sheet underneath it so one can just sleep with the sheet if it is too hot. I was forced to sleep with the duvet if I wanted to be a little covered during the night. And also, the cleaning staff left my bedroom window open even though I was able to cool down the room during the night. This means that when I got back at night was hotter than the outside temperatures….

The location and the neighborhood is really good. Walking distance from the center (from room to center is downwards so easier) and also has its own vibe with design stores, restaurants and parks. Really loved it. The room is spacious with high ceilings.

The noise from the road is too much. The windows do their jobs perfectly fine but it's a crowded and noisy road. There were no curtains in the room, just wooden window hatches, it creates the necessary privacy but not flexible for arranging.

Really lovely room, natural light, lovely bed and lots of space. Location was absolutely excellent.

Very straightforward and secure self check in process and good communication. Great location in walking distance to one of Lisbon's vibrant and cool neighbourhoods. On a very busy road however.

Feels souless and a little bit cynical with no human contact whatsoever. Room was noisy and airless because street is too busy to open either window or shutters. No coffee in shared kitchen space apart from instant (nice baker on the corner does make a great €1 pingado however, and is open at 6am).
