Well the view is breath taking but as much as it is the best part about the place, the beauty inside also is amazing. Very well decorated with lovely pieces of furniture, every detail and facilities they had was everything you need and more. Things that make you feel welcome were just excellent. I am the biggest fan of this place, my favourite ive ever stayed in in all my travels.

The apartment is spacious and well equipped. It is probably even larger than necessary for two people, and I think a group of four could also stay there very comfortably. The view is definitely one of the highlights: you can see the whole area of Arco da Calheta as well as the ocean, which is beautiful. The hosts also seemed very friendly and helpful, although our communication was only through Booking.com. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed for preparing meals.

We were surprised by how noisy the location was. You could hear almost everything happening in the valley of Arco da Calheta. Since there were several construction sites nearby, there was constant background noise during the day. In addition, some cars and motorcycles were driving through the area at surprisingly high speeds, which was also very noticeable at night. One of the bedrooms had shutters only on the large balcony doors, but not on the window facing the street (the window itself was blurred, so privacy was not an issue). However, the lights from passing vehicles repeatedly woke us up during the night. We eventually switched to the other bedroom, which was significantly quieter and much better for sleeping. A small but unpleasant surprise was finding someone else's socks and underwear left in the wardrobe when we arrived. As a result, we decided not to use the wardrobe at all during our stay. Unfortunately, there is no air conditioning, meaning that you need to keep the balcony doors open to make the temperature inside bearable. In fact, the doors were already open when we arrived. This also meant that insects could easily enter the apartment. The highlight of our stay was an unexpected visitor: a very large cockroach that appeared one evening and disappeared under the couch. According to the hosts, this can happen because the apartment is nearby some banana plantations and they simply fly in. The hosts kindly offered to clean the apartment the following day, but given the circumstances and the fact that we had already lost confidence in having a comfortable stay, we decided to leave earlier.
