The people working at the Hotel Barroco were excellent!

The staff were excellent, very welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable.

I liked everything about the property. My room was very comfortable and clean and very nicely decorated and the hotel is in the center of Puebla, with great restaurants, museums and the zocalo and the Chapel of Rosario and 2 beautiful historical former convents nearby. I especially liked the Serdan Brothers museum on the Mexican Revolution and the Amparo Museum.

Great value! Great people!

The location was great - close to everything we wanted to go and on a quiet side of the street. The staff work at the front desk are very pleasant and helpful. We arrived earlier than the check-in time and the lady working at the front desk checked us in to a room that's ready. The room was clean and tidy. Hot coffee in the morning and distilled water all day is provided free at the lobby. We brought our own bottles and just filled them up. We really liked the building, a colonial style. Outside of the room it has a living room with sofas and a small table. The WiFi signal was also stronger in the living room than in our room. We originally booked just one night and we loved the hotel and the city so much that we extended for another night. We also changed our plan and decided to go to Cholula. So, I am actually in my room writing for this review. Overall, excellent value for money. Cholula is another lovely city to visit if you have extra time. It's a 45-minute ride for 10 pesos one way.

The room that we booked was supposed to have a balcony. But the room we got actually didn't even have a window and definitely on balcony. It had a large glass panel allowing natural light to get in to the room but no fresh air though. So, when we're in the room, we opened the door until we went to bed. That worked just fine for us.

Good location and clean and comfortable stay.

This was a great hotel. There’s a beautiful courtyard and the room was comfortable with a lot of space and high ceilings. We had a balcony looking over the street, which they asked us at check in if we preferred street or courtyard views. The staff was very kind and always helpful. It’s close to walk to the center of town and many shops and restaurants.

The shower leaked onto the floor a bunch.

Well located hotel in Puebla

Beautiful and well located hotel. The rooms are spacious with high ceilings facing the well maintained inner courtyard. Our room was at the front of the main building overlooking the main street, which was a nice view.

Although the bathroom, bed etc were all clean the floor was dusty, so barefoot walking wasn’t great. One hour after Inhad showered my footsoles were black. The bed was quite small for two people (which we have seen more often in Mexico) and the wifi wasn’t great.

terrible

this is a terrible hotel. if you’re gonna book this hotel beware. i spent quite a bit of time here. first, the doors and windows are so thin you can hear everything on the street, it was so noisy at night. secondly, the internet here sucks, you’ll never get a second of usable wifi here. the hot water in the bathroom didn’t work for like 3 days at night. also, the bathroom didn’t have good sealing on the bottom of the door, so every time we showered we had a giant puddle on the floor. lastly, some of the staff is so rude, specifically the guy that works in the reception. the first night we had one of my male relatives help us up with our bags, and the man yelled at him that the room was only for two people. after he left, he came up to knock on our door and asked if he was gone. another woman also had the gall to ask my mom if we were going to renew our reservation on our second to last day, even though we had been coming up to them pretty much every 3 days with a new problem with the room. honestly save yourself the trouble and don’t book this hotel. it’s so bad.

Comfortable, clean and city center.

The place was clean. we originally booked the room with the balcony but unfortunately it was near the busy streets and we could hear the loud traffic. we asked to be transferred to ground floor and the staff was really helpful and we got another room which was quiet and we got to sleep well.

Lovely stay in Puebla

Very good location for walking all of Puebla. The room had a great design and the balcony overlooking the street was nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was definitely great value accomodation!

The street was quite noisy at night and early morning. WiFi was not very strong in our room (perhaps depends on room location).

The hotel is in the most beautiful part of the city of Puebla. The atmosphere is very nice as it is a colonial building. An extremely clean and comfortable hotel. The staff is very kind and helpful. Even though they don't speak English, we left our backpack very early and they kept our backpacks until the night bus. The internet infrastructure was renewed and there was a fast working internet.

Although they renewed the internet infrastructure, they still gave a paper that wrote the old wifi broadcast. When we said that the internet was not working, they gave the name of the new wifi name and shared the password. They said that they could not make any changes because the infrastructure was renewed. Do not forget to consult the reception if you have problems with the Internet broadcast.

The director does not make any commercial gesture after their mistake of giving us the wrong rooms. We were settled, then she calls us back to come and change our room stuff. We offered to pay extra to keep them with a discount nevertheless. No gesture and no negotiation after their mistake...

The back of the bed is wall, it takes the water 30 minutes until it gets warm, there's no window in the room, only the door, there's no ac. The water pressure is very low. The stay was not bad but these are things that should be notified
