Atardecer De Salento

The view from our room was amazing. We had there breakfast everyday. Staff was lovely. I definitely would recommend this place.

I loved this place! It’s rustic, eco friendly and I think has the best view in town! 2 excellent cats and one fabulous owner, Antonio. Always on hand to help with anything, gorgeous sunset view, big kitchen with everything you’d need. It’s not fancy, there are shuttered windows with no glass so you get fresh air and a gorgeous view. Ended up staying an extra night!

It could be a bit loud from the neighbouring bars but that comes with no windows and being in a great spot in the centre of town. Usually stops by 11/12 then it’s just peaceful birdsong in the morning

Appreciated that the staff waited up for us after our bus from Bogotá was delayed by almost 4 hours. The location was amazing! Surrounded by lush forest and gardens at the edge of the beautiful colourful town of Salento. I feel like the pics on Booking don’t do it justice - the hostel is a wooden building of two floors and we had a room at the end of the balcony on the upper floor so it was relatively private. The views out over the town were so nice! It’s also right near the stairs to the mirador, and there’s an excellent vegan restaurant Coco Bowl just downstairs. There are a couple of bars right nearby that were extremely lively, but with earplugs it was fine (the mattress disturbed our sleep rather than the loud music haha).

The mattress was awful, you could feel every metal spring poking through. The wifi was patchy and the bathroom had a horrible sewerage smell. It’s also always a bit inconvenient not having a bedside table or lamp.

The owner and staff were super nice and friendly.

Smell, hot water in the bathroom didn’t work.
