Hostal Estrella de Agua

This was such a nice friendly hostel, both the staff and the other guests. I had a private room which was comfortable & clean, the hostel has a nice bar for evening drinks, also the location is very central, just a few minutes walk from the main square in Salento.

The only negative was the morning coffee was way too weak!

Amazing hostel with such a welcoming atmosphere! There were some fun activities and the garden is great to hang out in the hammocks.

Its a bit noise because of the wooden floors, i was a bit unlucky with partying neighbours too though

Staff was friendly. There is as a kitchen to use with a stove/microwave/kettle/fridge, free coffee/water, pool table, jungle vibe but only a block from the main square which made it convenient to get Willy Jeeps/shop/eat.Pros -has a kitchen to use, free coffee/water. There are several cats on the property who are very cute and friendly and may sleep in your bed. They organize different activities like salsa night too.

-jacuzzi is apparently only available 2x/wk (Wed & Sat) which was disappointing since we booked the hostel for the jacuzzi and a bit misleading -private room was small, not much space besides the bed -shower pressure not very strong/a bit clogged, takes a long time to get hot -room not insulated, can hear street noise and hostel noise as if there were no walls -no fan for air circulation or screens on windows but windows can be opened and not a ton of bugs -free coffee was incredibly weak, breakfast is plain and simple -loud music ans noise construction from nearby bar woke us up before 7am (Oct 2026)
