The location is excellent, inside the city walls, all tourist attractions are within easy walking distance as of course are Lucca's numerous good restaurants, there is even a very good café almost next door that is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The apartment is quiet despite the location thanks to double glazing etc and the air conditioner in the lounge area is very effective for the whole apartment without being noisy in the bedroom.
The large double bed was very comfortable and the property well equipped including for cooking should you wish to do so.
This is an old building and the high ceilings with authentic oak beams are very attractive, however on first sight the rooms do seem gloomy, not as bright as the photos on the website although these are accurate, the apartment is overdue for some redecoration, just repainting the walls and woodwork would revive the appearance and move the property ranking up several notches!
The owner needs to make sure that ALL the light fittings are kept in working order and replace those that are no longer functional.

L'emplacement est excellent.
Accueil ( attente de 3/4H effectué par un remplaçant qui ne connaissait pas le logement : le fonctionnement des appareils, les dispositions pour les ordures,...), logement non en adéquation avec le prix : éclairage défectueux, pas de clim dans la chambre, propreté moyenne, extérieur sale, literie vétuste.
