    The beach is great. You couldn't ask for more so any short comings the beach makes up for it. But, beware of "seaview" rooms. We paid well over 3000 b for "seaview" and got a hole in the bushes. When bringing ut up with the acting mananger he said " sorry sir, thats a sea view room" and grinned. As we discussed his reaction he promised he would speak to the owner, who was in bkk and get back to us. Of course he never did. Then to boot, 2 out if the 3 night a true seaview came avaiable but never offer it to us, they lay empty. So just a warning , do not pay in advance if its a view of the ocean thats important. Just confirm the view before booking, concidering thats what your paying for. Not sure if that photo uploaded but see and make the judgment yourself.

    We stayed in the beachfront bungalow which was spacious and clean with the exception of the bathroom which seemed to have an ant colony living in it. The restaurant on site is probably the poorest we have eaten at an our entire time In Thailand The free breakfast is pretty basic and poor and the staff are not motivated to want to serve you in fact you feel like you’re interrupting them from their phones It’s a shame because I’m sure everybody would be happy to pay a little bit more to have good quality food Lastly, because of a lack of umbrellas on the beach, everybody congregated around the edge of our patio outside our bungalow due to the tree shade. Most people were well behaved but we had several who decided to smoke cannabis there all day long and some who just could not control their children from bouncing up and down on the sunbeds allocated to our apartment. Given the premium you pay for this particular apartment, they should really stop this from happening

    Definitely need to hire a bike if you want to explore as its a long walk down a dusty track to the main road. The beach front is one of the best, excellent swimming crystal clear waters and very safe with virtually no rocks. The restaurant could be cleaner and the food is quite basic.

    I was booked in for three nights. The room I was given smelt musty and had a broken wall. I asked for another room and paid another £50 for an upgrade. The room was great. However, I couldn’t get about as it’s remote. Needed to get to a supermarket. I was offered a lift there and back (5 mins each way) for 150 bhat. There was only one other guest at the hotel so it was very quiet. I wanted to get to another beach as the one I was staying on was dirty with shoes, bottles, broken glass, general rubbish everywhere. Unfortunately there were jellyfish washed up everywhere too. So I asked about a taxi / tuk tuk and this was 600 baht return. Soooo I decided to cut my loses and book a ferry out of there. So I stayed two nights. The staff were friendly but it just felt that it was end of season blues for them.
