Mr Kahawa

We loved Paje area and staying right on the beach in their Ocean view suite. You have these big windows that open right to the beach and you can spy people from these and enjoy the first rays of light in the morning. The staff is super sweet, especially the housekeeping. The place has this super cool boho, beach shack vibe. The furniture and fabrics are well thought through and basically everything you see, sit on or use, is a piece of art.

The pool and area around it is a little small considering the number of rooms and when the weather is sunny it is difficult to find a free beach chair. Also, there was a bathtub in our room but no drain plug to close it and they were unable to find one during our stay. A little weird to have it if you cannot use it.

Beautiful hotel. Amazing rooms, great service and delicious food.

I usually work from the cafe and knew the internet was decent so when I needed a few days where I absolutely needed reliable connection and privacy I booked a few days here and I do not regret my choice at all. The room was comfortable and of course you can always pop into the restaurant area with great views to the ocean. All the staff was very kind and helpful. I arrived a bit last minute needing the room for a call and I did my proper checkin only hours later once my work emergency was done and this was very much appreciated!

all was good really, I think I only struggled with the taps in the bathroom but I think it is difficult in Zanzibar to get good plumbing that lasts more than a season and opens easily too.

Nice pool and garden, food very good quality

The staff was very rude and not friendly many times (mostly the receptionists, the restaurant team was nice), we were treated very arrogant by the receptionists and didn’t feel welcome at all. We would not recommend this hotel
