Makarun Heritage Rooms

Incredible staff- Mario, Toni, and all of the others are the most attentive and caring staff I’ve ever encountered. Especially as a solo traveler, this made my experience a million times better. Beautiful little spot in an insane central location, steps from everything, including the ferries.

Great location and Fantastic service!! Toni met me when I got off the bus and helped with luggage to the hotel. First class experience, super helpful with recommendations and explaining the history of the area. Also checked in daily and organised breakfast to go when I was heading out on an early tour. Nothing was too much trouble, service was exceptional and would highly recommend staying here. Apart arranged a transfer to the airport at the end of my stay, the driver was very knowledgeable and it felt more like a private tour than a transfer. Would stay here again if I return

The bathroom was a wet room so a little inconvenient but that is a personal preference and the exceptional service in general more than made up for it. Would still book here as everything else was fantastic!

A personal welcome, great staff. The hospitality was very warm and the food fantastic. The location was a little oasis within the busy heart of the old town. The balance between running the restaurant and the hotel rooms was spot on.

The staff goes out of the way to make your stay the very best it can be. The breakfast was incredible, and Toni met us at the taxi, carried our bags, got us settled and then had the restaurant prepare a charcuterie board and drinks as he showed us all the best things to do in Split. 10 star service!
