The house is modern and clean. And it is equipped with everything you need. The terrace has a great view over the land and the sea in the background. We liked our stay a lot and had a wonderful time.

The house is in a quiet region with lots of olive trees and greenhouses and very beautiful view of the landscape and the ocean. It is an independent house with exclusive use of the guests, which was really nice, because we don’t like noises from neighbours. The kitchen is well equipped and the two bedrooms upstairs are comfortable with nice views. There are more luxury villas in the region, but we liked ours, because it is simple, but comfortable with everything needed for a stay of one or two weeks.
In the mornings and evenings sheep herds came by and we liked the rural, but not isolated surrounding. The location is ideal for staying near Falassarna beach, which is only five minutes drive away and even can be reached by foot walking through the olive tree plantations.
There are a lot of options for good restaurants in the neighbourhood and in the nearby little town Platanos there are a few supermarkets, bakery and so on.
Falassarna beach is very beautiful and big, so I guess even in high season it should not get too crowded. The most beautiful lagoon of Balos with amazing blue waters can be reached easily in about 30 minutes by car and a nice walk down the mountains.
We would highly recommend Villa Tramonto to anyone and stay there again, if we would travel to Crete ones more.
We got lost when we tried to find the house, because we listened to our navi, which made us use a very bad road, which is not suitable for cars. So visitors need to follow carefully the instructions given by the host and then the access is easy to find. Our host finally met us on the road and guided us to the house, which was really nice.

We enjoyed every day of our two weeks staying at villa Tramonto! First of all the location is really great, remote enough from main roads and noise, but at the same time close to the good restaurants and wonderful beaches. Secondly, the house had everything to make our staying as comfortable as it was possible: main bathroom and extra toilet in the house, outside shower under the fig tree, stunning sea view terrace, comfortable beds. There were all needed kitchen utensils like new pens, good knives, mixer, toaster, oven, etc, so we could easily cook at home and enjoy mornings and evenings on terrace. The house has been cleaned twice during our stay, and it was great. Quietness, only rare farmers’ cars, goats and sheeps passing by. In one word everything was perfect.
We were really very happy about the accommodation.

Few mins to the beach
Bathroom & beds are like from hell:
# shower in "master" bathroom hardly usable, and in general bathroom needs urgent renovation
# beds, sheets & pillows were very hard and we had very little seep. Tried both bedrooms.
# windows in one bedroom impossible to open as it is broken
# view from terrace is cluttered with garbage containers & neglected greenhouses
