Feeling Like Home Machico

Great location, with convenient free parking lot across the street, very accessible to the highway on the edge of town — which makes for a not great first impression but is actually very convenient and quiet once you get oriented. Main square is <5 mins walk. Included a fan which was comfortable for sleeping. Views were gorgeous and nice to be able to open the huge window. Kitchen had everything we needed. Shower got warm quickly. Machico was a great launching point to everything on the east side of the island.

Some construction was happening during our stay (hard to predict; not the property’s fault). Address was incorrect so be sure to follow the instructions from the host (which were very clear & easy to follow). We would stay here again.

The sea view from the apartment is incredible! The apartment itself had everything we needed for our stay and was very clean and tidy.

The wifi wasn’t strong enough for me to work.

No a/c

The apartment has a beautiful sea view and a very good location, close to the beach. The area is quiet and peaceful.

The accommodation did not fully meet our expectations, especially considering the price. There was no wardrobe or proper place to store our clothes, and most of the kitchenware was plastic. The internet connection was very poor, and the towels were not changed during our seven-night stay. The apartment lacked some basic comfort and attention to detail. Communication with the host was also poor. Replies were very slow, and sometimes I had to send messages for three days before receiving a response. There was also construction work taking place directly outside the window throughout our entire stay, which caused additional noise and inconvenience.
