The gite was immaculately clean and so well stocked with food, wine, toiletries and products like dishwasher tabs, laundry tabs, etc. Susie and Crawford were by far and away the best hosts we’ve had on our various holidays. The pool for our own use was also excellent.
Nothing.

Our hosts, who live on site, were very accommodating. The gite is the best equipped gite that we have ever rented and we have rented many over the decades. The exclusive use of the pool is great and a good sized pool. There's even a boules pitch alongside. The bbq was good and the hosts cleaned it after use - which was not expected. Being "out in the sticks" the internet is slow and intermittent. Take some DVDs with you! The TV could do with updating.
The hot bedrooms. Air con downstairs but not upstairs - where it is really needed.
We did not realise, until we arrived, that there is only one toilet - and it is downstairs.

Very comfortable and spacious with everything we needed. Air conditioning is a bonus. Lovely little touches like pool towels, quality bed linen, hand soap, kitchen bits and a very warm welcome by our hosts who live on site but are very discrete. The pool is fantastic, the area is beautiful, and it's very peaceful but only 20 minutes from Cognac. Highly recommend and would definitely go back again in the future.
