About this villa rental
Holidays begin with cocooning! This French villa, 'les Frugères' offers you a wide range of possibilities to reenergize with your family, friends, colleagues … It’s located amidst the vineyards of the Grande Champagne, the most impressive region of the Charente, the source of the spirituous beverage Cognac, and this at barely 5 min. of the center of Cognac. The undulating landscape of the Cognac region has a rich cultural and architectural heritage, idyllic villages, cultural events and numerous recreational possibilities such as cycling, mountain biking, hiking, swimming, kayaking, golf, tennis, fishing, etc. …
Cognac is the place from where the spirituous beverage is originated and is today the symbol of the bon vivant. Visit once the distillery of Cognac, Pineau de Charente or the local vintner.
Furthermore our accommodation is the ideal base for a real France-trip: Poitiers, Futuroscope , Saintes, Iles de Ré, Augoulème, Limoges, Bordeaux , Jarnac, Marais Poitevin enz

The large window panel provides the accommodation with a nice spacious feeling. It gives you access to the terraces and the south oriented garden. On both terraces (above and below) and around the swimming heated pool there are contemporary design garden furniture at your disposal. There, you can enjoy in all serenity and have a nice conversation in the evening around the barbeque or play petanque.
The accommodation also disposes of a large living room with an open fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen and 4 bedrooms of which 2 of them have a direct access to the bathroom. The children’s room contains a bunk bed, a one person’s bed and a cot (25 €). If you hire for 6 , you have 1 room less but you get the base price.
The swimming pool is closed from novembre till Easter.
For the little ones we can inform you that all the stairs have been provided with safeguards. A high-chair, a go-cart, some steps and games are also present in the place.
The closest high-speed train connection is Angoulème, with a connection to Cognac (40 min).
By car the accommodation is accessible by the A10.
Airports: Poitiers, Bordeaux.
We advise you to take a car. 7 Bicycles are at your disposal (more rental possibilities close by).

Lovely property and terrific location. Note that there is no A/C and bath linens are not provided. Communication could have been better during our stay but overall a good experience!

The balcony off the kitchen was a lovely place to eat breakfast and other meals. We appreciated the beautiful scented blossom off the tree by the pool that perfumed the lounge area. Plenty of seating area in both sun and shade around the pool. Lots of space and bright sunny rooms which could be kept cool using the shutters.
The chateau at La Rochefoucauld was worth a visit and we had a good meal at Au Moulin du Chateau there.

Is absolutely what you need , very clean , everything in place, very organised.
Location very nice, quiet and relaxing.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour ! La maison est ultra fonctionnelle, super bien équipée, tout ce qui est nécessaire pour passer un excellent séjour ! La baignoire balnéo ne fonctionnait pas malheureusement mais tout le reste était super. Annick nous a très bien reçus, merci !
