Maison Cabral

Maison Cabral is an oasis of quiet & calm & is situated in a very cool area of Porto, with lots of local bars & restaurants close by. It’s a 15 minute walk into the centre of town. This lovely old Maison has been beautifully renovated. The rooms are stylishly decorated, are impeccably clean, with very comfortable beds & facilities. We had a private outdoor courtyard, to enjoy breakfast or a glass of wine. There are lots of shared outdoor spaces, a nice pool & a well stocked honestly bar. The highlight of this property is the amazing Susana, who manages the property during the week for the lovely owner Alberto. Susana & Alberto look after your every need, curating intinerarys that are suited to each individual. This is all done in a low key thoughtful way, as they are very respectful of your space. The hotel was tidy and clean. We stayed in a small but convenient attic room, which had a comfortable bed. Since we visited during very hot days, the small pool was a refreshing treat. Susana was incredibly helpful and kind; she provided us with useful tips and was flexible in accommodating our needs. The location is great as well.

The public areas are very small.

This place is special. The lovely hosts could not do enough for us. They went above and beyond to make sure that we had the best stay, and gave us brilliant recommendations for authentic restaurants/ places to visit. The house is beautiful and has a real family feel to it. It’s a peaceful place to be- you’d never know it was so close to the busy city centre. Thank you Susana and Alberto, we look forward to returning.

The bed was super comfortable, the room very clean and the bathroom has everything you could ask for. We received a very warm welcome. Thanks to Susana for making our stay memorable and all the tips and recommendations :)
