El Faro

Amazing location with stunning sea and harbour views, sunrises were a delight to watch! The apartment was lovely and homely, and had everything we needed and more for our 2 week stay! Walking into the apartment or out of the bedroom to that view through the windows in the kitchen and lounge area was breathtaking every time and we never tired of it! Juana the host was great and checked in a few times to make sure everything was ok and if we needed anything which was a really nice touch. Highly recommend.

The only slight downside for me and it didn’t spoil our stay in any way and wouldn’t stop us returning, as someone who likes to lay in the sun on a lounger there was there was no sun on the balcony other than a couple hours early morning. Maybe in the winter months when the sun is lower it is on the balcony for longer. We had a few extra trips to the beach and hired sunbeds there, and went to the small pebbly beach directly below the apartment when we wanted some sunbathing (and hubby snorkelling) so didn’t miss out.

The property has the most amazing views. It is nicely laid out with everything you need and the host is very friendly and helpful.

The apartment was excellent. The open view across the water towards the ferry pier was perfect. The apartment was very well equipped, and the south-facing balcony was spacious and a major plus. The provision of Netflix and YouTube was also much appreciated. The location was so central that it gave access to all available amenities. The bus from the airport was easy to use, at just a few euros, and only a 10 min walk along a straight road takes you to the apartment. Once contact was made with the owner on WhatsApp, I appreciated the friendly, helpful interaction with the owner.

I have had the same issue with previous apartments regarding getting into the apartment. I get a bit anxious not having the details about getting into a property before I set off for the airport. This is because the mobile does not always receive messages when travelling. At 77, like many of my age, I am not an expert in using the mobile. I was then asked for a copy of my passport for the required registration. Getting these issues sorted out before setting for the airport would be far less worrisome and easier to handle at home the night before departure.
