Puzzlestay House

The place as exactly it looked in photos & described in the reviews. Clean & modern house with private bathroom for our use. Paul & Jinny were most gracious & helpful with tips about riding the subway and nearby restaurants. Paul picked us up from the airport bus stop - definitely take his offer as it would be difficult to find. Breakfast was healthy and tasty. At ₩5000/person, it was totally worth it. Convenient to eat breakfast then leave the house. They made us coffee & homemade yogurt too. First day was ham sandwich, fried eggs, kiwi & second day was egg salad sandwich, salad, grapefruit. Clean facilities. They have a washing machine in the communal kitchen but we did not use it.

The bed was a bit firm for us but nothing too terrible. Some people may not like the location so it's out of the touristy area but we liked it as it was quiet & you can see how locals live their daily lives. The accommodation were upstairs which was not an issue with us. However if you have difficulty climbing stairs, reconsider. Paul carried the luggage for us although he didn't have to so I had problem being on the second floor. We walked to the market street and to dinner. Again, depending on each person's comfort level at walking around, climbing stairs and steep slopes, this may primary not pose an issue.

The host was very responsive, and gave us a ride back and forth the bus station. Facilities were big, comfortable, clean and convenient. The neighborhood, even when not too close to downtown, was good, with restaurants and stores, and even a street market. The common are was also useful and convenient.

I liked everything. I would suggest adding a simple coffee machine (like a K-cup or similar), but even this is not really needed because the host was nice enough to serve us fresh coffee few days.

Very clean, quite location. Has all you need including washing machine. 10 mins walking distance to the subway station. Host is very friendly. He offered to pick us up from the station.There are not many restaurants for vegetarians.

It is on a steep slope. People who are not used to walking can take a taxi. Would be nice to have some tea bags and coffee for guests.

From the very first moment, we loved our stay at Puzzlehouse. We stayed for one week and in the end did not want to leave. The cosiness & cleanliness of the Place, wonderful amenities (fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, drinking water) and breakfast as well as the great host made us feel at home. The Location is within walking distance to public transportation and we liked that it was set a little more in a quiet and traditional neighbourhood, right in between Seoul City and Bukhasan Nationalpark.

It was absolutely Great! But just a little idea: Since it is very difficult to communicate in English in Korea, it would be a great help if the accommodation could offer a little guideline on how to use the subway starting from this area, because it is a little off the beaten track (how to to get tickets or the tmoney card…)
