Lagos Uptown Bed & Breakfast

My friend and I stayed here for 5 nights and had the best time! The property was only a short walk away from Lagos Town which was super convenient but also meant that it was quiet at night. We loved having breakfast every morning on the beautiful roof terrace and the friendly staff. Would definitely come back again!

The staff were incredibly nice and welcoming. Fernando and Silvia, the owners, were always great to us and provided us with invaluable tips and information about the area and the best places to visit. The property was great, but the hosts leveled up the experience for us. The breakfast was also really good and varied, and the rooms were very well kept, both before and during our stay. Highly recommend.

The sound proofing (or lack thereof) is not great, unfortunately. This means that you hear noise coming from the corridors even when people are being careful and trying to keep it quiet. Thankfully everyone was respectful during our visit, but that may not always be the case.

We had a great stay at this property. It is centrally located and within walking distance of the town center, beaches, and several excellent restaurants. Every morning we enjoyed an exceptional breakfast served by the hosts, who were very attentive and welcoming. I mentioned that I am learning Portuguese, and they made an effort to speak Portuguese with me whenever possible so that I could practice. I really appreciated that personal touch. The hosts also provided us with a printout of things to do in the area, along with recommendations for local restaurants. We tried two of the restaurants from their list, and both were exceptional. Their hospitality and local recommendations made our stay even more enjoyable.

The terrace is a great place to use, anytime of the day or evening. Staff were very welcoming and place was clean.

You can hear everything from the rooms around you, no soundproofing. We had two American women in the next room and it was so annoying as they showed no consideration for others!. It was late in the night and after 30 mins I knocked on the wall and they stopped.
