the sauna/spa experience was a particular highlight.
Overall a lovely stay and we will come back here when we visit lofoten again

It had a nice cabin, and a cozy little wood stove in the main restaurant/lounge.
Slightly chilly, but I suppose there are ways to keep warm.

The room is so beautiful! And the hotel restaurant is really good! It has the best carrot cake I ever ate. Amazing
Anything. Everything was really good.

We stayed at Panorama Cabin. It is small and far from the reception/restaurant. We also need to walk/hike a little, very little bit from where we parked our car but we knew this at the time we booked.
We were lucky enough to see aurora directly from our bedroom/balcony when fellow guests had to drive so fast,in a hurry to the wharf, under down of our cabin, coz of it was the best location to get the pictures.
Breakfasts were amazing, thank you. Barbara the receptionist was also very helpful, wrote all the location we could visit around and south of the area.
On the shower cabin: water temperature was luke warm, not hot; also leaking to the toilet.

The room was nice and comfy with a stunning view of the ocean. There is also a restaurant where you can get breakfast, lunch and dinner. It's quite a nice position to visit Svolvær and Hemningsvær.
The staff did not warn us the main door would be closed after 23. There were small signs indoors but honestly we did not notice them. Also there was a public terrace in front of the other window and we were not told that people outside could not see us thanks to special window screens, which made us feel a bit exposed until we figured it out the next day.

This was some of the best food we had in our month traveling throughout Norway! Excellent restaurant. And literally jaw-dropping views of mountains and sea - such a fabulous place to kayak, and our guide was amazing. Our cabin was very comfortable, if a bit dated, and could not have been in a better location (Beach House). I was initially hesitant about loving the place given the copious amount of trailers, but I ended up not even noticing them after the first day, and everyone was so polite and aware of others around them. I have never stayed in a place where there were more people and been less bothered by that fact, as the place itself is enormous, and can clearly handle the additional tents and trailers, on top of the cabins and cottages already there. Both my spouse and I enthusiastically recommend Skarungen to everyone driving the coast of Norway! Beautiful, perfectly located, fantastic food, and tons of activity for everyone. Try the spa if you feel inclined; we loved it, even the incredibly hot sauna during the hottest days in central Norway in several years.
The only bad experience at all was 1 front desk employee who consistently and insistently blamed my wife for a booking mistake made by the camp - "The only one at fault here, Madam, is you." (We were booked for kayaking and the spa at the same hour on the same day, and there were only 2 of us!) By the next day, after the problem had been sorted out, he changed his attitude and was fine - though he didn't apologize for being so rude. Anyway, just double-check any additional bookings you make and you'll be fine. This negative event did not change our review at all - as we still enthusiastically recommend Skarungen!

We stayed here for the location and because our friends had picked the hotel as a meet-up spot. (They ended up regretting their decision.) The glamping tents have a gorgeous view and were very clean. The hotel room was also very clean. The beds were comfortable.
The front desk clerk was very rude, the wifi was terrible even if you were in the lobby (and useless at the campsites or glamping sites), and there was always a line for the camping/glamping bathrooms. The hotel rooms were incredibly, laughably small. Extremely expensive by the local standards for what you get, based on the 10 hotels/homes we stayed at during our trip. And the front desk clerk was the only rude person we encountered over our two weeks.

Room was comfortable, we rented the spa and it was pretty nice. Breakfast (paid) was also very good. Good value for money overall. A lot of renting option available (biking, kayaking etc.)
No hair dryer in the bathroom. No TV in the room but i guess that's the standard in the area.

Very cozy hotel with amazing views all around. Our room was very comfortable and clean, quite large and well-decorated, and offered a great view. The breakfast was delicious, fresh and varied. We would really recommend the restaurant for dinner as well. The food was excellent and there is a nice selection of gin. We also really enjoyed the sauna experience with the beautiful view. The staff were always very helpful and friendly. Wi-fi worked very well.
Bathrobe and towels for the spa area should not be at an extra cost for hotel guests.

• Beautiful fjordside location with stunning mountain views
• Stylish, clean design with large windows
• Onsite café, private sauna & hot tub — a great treat before bedtime
• Easy parking and check-in
• Good option for a short overnight stay
• Super small bathroom — felt like we were in Tokyo!
• No TV or sofa — basic and compact
• No bath mat provided (seems to be the norm in Norway)
• A bit pricey for the room size

Gorgeous location and friendly staff. Everything is furnished and decorated with so much attention to detail it seems like a real passion project. Very cozy rooms with super comfortable beds!
Quite small breakfast buffet for the hefty price of 200 NOK per person.

The bedroom was really nice with an amazing view! It was all clean. The blinds keept the sun out pretty well
The staff was just lovely! Since the sun was out all the time we kinda lost track of time and didn‘t realise that the bar was already closed when we got down. And even though the bar was already closed for an hour they still served us! Thanks again :)
Since we were there befor high season we could park our car at a camping place and recharge it, which was really nice as well.
Loved our stay there, would recommend.
nothing :)

The location and views are nice.
Sauna seemed nice but you have to hook it says before you arrive.
Where do I start?
When I contacted the hotel they confirmed that the shared kitchen was basic but functional.
When we arrived there was no water there, no kettle to cook anything and the lights went off when someone turned on the microwave.
It took 1 h to boil water. When another couple could not use the oven and was also told that the kitchen was functional (how do you cook and wash dishes without water???), we decided to complain at the reception.
They offered a solution to cook in a cottage that was not cleaned from previous guests but had a kitchen.
I think they have never heard about customer service.
That evening they had a gin party organised - so they saw us as inconvenience? Could feel it in the tone of the manager.
We asked to at least have a breakfast as a compensation. It took a while for them to agree and they did not inform the other couple.
The WC next to the kitchen had no water either… imagine the sight there…
The second day when we decided to take a picture of the famous kitchen, we saw there a mice in the bin…
The room was dusty and it was not possible to keep the window open. The bed was accessible only from one side as the other side was next to the window. There were also some hair in the bathroom, so definitely problems with hygiene in that place.

Great waterfront cabins, friendly staff, awesome and probably the best sauna and hot tub in Lofoten.
A bit more expensive than in other places.

Beautiful family cabin with a fireplace and good facilities. We have used the sauna in the morning too which has a stunning view.
We have had a couple of issue during the stay but they have been sorted by the lovely lady at reception.

great decor cabins. good location and very well designed.
no wifi. mentioned to staff 3 times over 2 nights stay. they have one wifi for all cabins and reception area plus they had back to back private parties at reception hall which gives priority to those attending for wifi
we end up with no wifi across all 4 cabins for both nights.

The view. The room with sea view is really worth it. If the weather is on your side, you'll be able to see the lights just from your window. The restaurant is beautiful too, we didn't want to leave the place. The crew is also very nice, with a special mention for Nico, he made our experience way much better. We also feel we have gained a friend.
Shared kitchen tubes were frozen so we could not cook. That was the only thing.

The view was great from our living room. Very great value for money.
The toilet is a bit small, but considering the price, it is already a great deal!
