Dar Borj

Amazing place, set right in the Medina. The rooms are clean amd the hosts were 10/10 - would recommend to anyone. Breakfast on the roof terrace is also wonderful.

The place is gorgeous inside. Breakfast was really good and the terrace has a good view. Two members of the staff were very good hosts.

Bathroom had no working cold water and was flooding from a leaking pipe. No card payment was available at the time, and considering the hefty price, we had to spend a big part of the money we had exchanged. The room where we stayed had an inaccessible section with a window that couldnt be covered, so as soon as the sun rises, the room will be very bright. No sleeping past 8 if you are sensitive to light. There are two rooms in the ground floor right next to the reception, and its impossible to sleep late because of the noise. One particular member of the staff was not very professional.

To be honest, I liked everything. And the people working there were really really kind and helpful. I was also very surprised to how, in the middle of the medina and its noisy street labyrinth, it all felt so calm and quiet inside Dar Borj.

The property is a heritage property. Old Medina atmosphere. Great staff. Moustafa and Mohammed were both great. The breakfast was delicious as well.

Location is right inside the medina, a lot to walk in side. No basic amenities given like a kettle or daily water. Staircases all the way from the bottom to the top.
