Adinda Bungalows

The location is excellent, and the staff is very friendly. There is also a restaurant right on the beach, where you can relax with a drink and enjoy the best sunset views on the island.

There was nothing I disliked about this property.

It was very clean, the bed was super comfortable, there was hot water, the breakfast was very good, the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. The entire island is walkable but this particular homestay is very close to lots of good restaurants and bars, and has its own restaurant and bar with good food and good prices.

I was unlucky and my bathroom had lots of ants in it when I checked in - fortunately the staff helped me clean them up and it wasn’t an issue going forward. The property is also close to a club that is quite loud and plays very loud music on Tuesdays, which made it difficult to sleep. It of course is of no fault to the homestay but just a warning if you are expecting peace and quiet and booking a Tuesday night. The wifi connection was also very poor in my bungalow.

The very best thing about Adinda Bungalows is the beachside location and excellent staff that went out of their way to make sure our stay was wonderful. The cottage was very basic and ‘no frills’ - there is nothing luxurious here but what it lacks in amenities in the cottage it more than makes up for in the incredible sunset views and lovely beach loungers and chill out areas where we spent most of the day. The breakfast included has a good variety of choices but there is also an al la carte menu you can order from - the smoothie bowls are highly recommended. On our first night we had the fresh fish BBQ which was amazing being able to eat on the beach and choose our fish to go on the BBQ - such a reasonable price too and drinks are much cheaper here than the other sunset venues. When we had an issue in our room such as leaking water or no water in the sink the issues were fixed immediately and with a smile. All the staff were so friendly and welcoming making this feel like a home away from home. It would have been a 10 but the bungalow needs a bit of updating and more creature comforts such as nice toiletries, hand soap, box of tissues and water glasses etc which we’ve experienced in all our other locations on this trip.

The location was good for restaurants and some little shops. Away from the centre so not too crowded.

Gili Air is supposed to be great for families however the music goes on until late in the night. A ‘quiet’ day on the beach is not to be had here as music is blared out from early morning until late evening from properties around. It such a shame as the location is great however the loudness of the music around was a disappointment. The bins in the room can do with a change daily as this was not emptied at all during our three night stay. As others have said, the beds are really hard to sleep on.
