    What an amazing little place! If im honest we booked the Fortescue because it was the cheapest central hotel for a midweek stay, but we were completely bowled over by the place! The rooms are clean and modern, the pub itself is lovely too. Its in a great location with a lovely warm friendly atmosphere. The food is great, and for Salcombe competitively priced too. What really makes this place special though is the staff. The service was brilliant - we honestly couldn't fault a single thing and that is so rare these days, even in far "posher" and more expensive places. All the staff are friendly, knowledgeable and clearly work as part of a very well organised team. What's more they clearly all get along and are having fun providing the great service that they do. We also met the owner Vas who is the loveliest guy and was very keen on making sure that guests have the best experience, and notably also put importance on the training and support of his staff. More stars required!
