THE PHOToGRAPHER FLAT

The location was appropriate for the itinerary planned. Very close to public transportation and commercial areas. Easy access in and out of the building with multiple functioning elevators. The Flat was big enough for comfort including a full kitchen with all appliances including washer.

The living room air conditioner was not working. The bedroom air conditioner had to be used for the whole apartment, therefore forcing us to have to close the bathroom and kitchen doors so the Flat can reach a comfortable temperature. The kitchen had a strong smell coming from the refrigerator similar to dead fish. Even though we had to purchase a refrigerator deodorant, the smell was persistent throughout the whole week making it overwhelming to enter or cook in the kitchen. If the kitchen door remained open, the smell would spread throughout the Flat. In the bedroom there were multiple open areas in the drop ceiling directly above the beds. Making it uncomfortable to sleep or feel comfortable.

The hosts were pleasant, helpful and responsive. Location was good within walking distance to most attractions and convenience stores.

It was difficult to arrange check-in and access the garage despite the hosts prompt response on WhatsApp,, this had a lot to do with language. The apartment was quite dated and not well maintained. The air-con units and washing machine need maintenance in particular. Cleaning was superficial only.
