The Sawah Resort & Villa

Staying at this villa nestled in the heart of Ubud’s rice paddies was pure magic. Waking up to the gentle rustle of palm leaves and the golden glow over the fields felt like stepping into a dream. The villa itself was beautifully designed—elegant, serene, and immaculately maintained, with thoughtful touches that made it feel like home. The property is about 23 minutes out from Ubud centre (in light traffic), but a Grab or driver is very easy to organise. The tranquility makes up for the distance from the craziness of central Ubud. The staff were warm and attentive, striking the perfect balance between hospitality and privacy. Whether it was the delicious breakfast overlooking the paddies or the soothing evening breeze by the pool, every moment was restorative. If you're looking for peace, beauty, and a deep connection to Bali’s natural charm, this is the place. I left feeling grounded, grateful, and already dreaming of my return.

A bit far from town

very friendly staff. They are very flexible and do everything you ask to them. Breakfast was nice too and very cheap prices for room services. cleaned the room nicely and are very trusted people. Really good experience with the staff here.

the smell in the room (smelled like smoke sometimes and humidity). A bit far from Ubud center you definitely need a taxi and there’s only a tiny poster that has the name of the Hotel in the entrance of the street so taxis couldn’t see properly.

The property quiet run down; the location was farther than I thought towards Ubud center, it would be ok if the paddy field scenery was nice, it was unfortunate that I came during the season where the paddy field just about to be planted and daily in the morning the burning smoke from whatever the neighbor’s burning came into my room, so I have no choice but to leave my room and the property daily.
