We stayed at La Condessa (the ground floor apartment) for twelve days and enjoyed it. It's ideally located for exploring the Picos de Europa. There are two or three good hikes starting in the village, Potes is about a mile down the road, and you can reach other places like Fuente De or the San Glorio Pass easily by car. We were looking for butterflies and saw over 60 species.
The flat was clean, well organised and had everything we needed. It was also cool, very welcome after being out in the sun. The owner was very helpful and friendly - with the translation app on her phone we could understand each other very well! Valmeo's a sleepy hamlet and the apartments are opposite an old orchard, all very peaceful.
It was all fine.

De locatie en de zeer vriendelijke eigenaresse, er stond een eigen gebakken cake klaar, hebben we heerlijk van gesmuld!!
