Villa Ravino Secret Retreat

It’s a beautifully designed place - the gardens are immaculate, the apartment was spacious and individual and there is a great view and lovely pool area. Loved the cactus garden. The service was absolutely brilliant - the staff were fantastically helpful throughout our stay especially when my husband was unwell

Nothing. Just be away that because it’s in a relaxed and calmer location away from the centre there is a 20 min walk into town - hot uphill on the way back! taxis are expensive (€20/25 later) for this short journey so be prepared to walk or take the (quite crowded and unreliable buses!) the hotel has bus tickets you can buy from them

Jasmine who works as the conciege is one of the most amazing people. Extremely helpful, kind and proactive. She made sure our stay was a memorable one.

The pool and hotel lawn area could do with a little TLC.

The place was BEAUTIFUL. Like a hidden oasis off with views up to the mountain and down to the Sea. The most friendly staff you could get anywhere from the moment we walked in. Welcomed with. Tour and island advice from Jasmine all the way through to the team at the onsite Cafe in Il cactus. The gardens were beautiful and so nice to walk through to start each day and see the free range Peacocks. I would highly reccommend booking this Villa as a location - Forio the town is really cute and you can also get anywhere on the island easily with a short walk / bus. That we had to go home....

The accommodation does not reflect what is in the pictures, although it was an upgrade. The bed wasn't comfortable, far too hard, the bathroom was old & needs updating. The balcony view of the garden & sea is gorgeous. Unfortunately, the place had just reopened for the season & the pool area & jacuzzi weren't ready. It was dirty & barely warm even though it was heated by the thermal waters. I think they should have told us this beforehand as we had booked far in advance & they clearly weren't ready for quests to use these facilities. The small restaurant was inviting with a cosy inside & outside dining area. Sadly, the menu was very limited because they weren't busy enough yet & we struggled on what to eat for lunch & dinner during our 3 days there. Compliments to the amazing staff that served us every day, we are grateful for their patience with our pigeon Italian. The Gardens was the most outstanding thing about staying here. They are truly a wonder & need to be seen. The variety of different cactus, succulents & fruit trees are amazing. There was also a white peacock roaming around posing for a photo. Even if you don't book accommodation, they are still open to the public
