The property is gorgeous—definitely better than it looks online. And the food is fantastic! We absolutely loved our stay here. All of the staff is so kind.

The whole experience was wonderful. We travel all over the world and this was our 1st time to Costa Rica. We both fell in love with the country, most of all the people. The staff at the hotel were wonderful, a special thanks to Nathaly the waitress, she was so nice and full of information that we used. She is a credit to your hotel. I think the Hotel was the highlight of our stay. We will be back and will promote to family and friends

Nothing it is already perfect

Hotel Jardin Del Eden is a pleasant adults-only hotel with attractive gardens, a nice pool area and a good restaurant. The rooms were comfortable, and we found the staff to be friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

Unfortunately, our experience of Tamarindo was overshadowed by something that the hotel may not directly control, but which has a significant impact on its guests. One of the main reasons we travelled to Costa Rica was for its incredible wildlife and its reputation for respecting nature and animals. Everywhere else we visited exceeded our expectations, but Tamarindo was the one exception. As guests using the hotel's beach access, we repeatedly witnessed horses being used for tourist rides that appeared to be in poor body condition, tied together for long periods in the intense sun with little or no shade and no obvious access to fresh drinking water. Seeing this day after day was genuinely upsetting and meant we avoided spending time on the beach because it detracted so much from our holiday. We have reported our concerns to the relevant animal welfare organisations so they can assess the situation professionally, as we appreciate that only they can determine whether welfare standards are being met. Although we were generally happy with the hotel itself, this issue had such a negative impact on our stay that we would not choose to stay in Tamarindo again. That is a real shame because every other destination we visited in Costa Rica was outstanding. I hope the management at Hotel Jardin Del Eden will consider working with local authorities, beach businesses or animal welfare organisations to help improve this situation. As one of Tamarindo's best-known hotels, it has an opportunity to encourage positive change that would benefit both the animals and future visitors. If this issue were addressed, we would happily consider returning. Until then, it is unfortunately the reason we would choose to stay elsewhere in Costa Rica.
