    This is a gem of a hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay. Room was at the back, totally quiet. Breakfast and dinner were all excellent, well above average standards. Front desk service staff were wonderful. Subway/ tram just outside the front door. Stay here with total confidence.

    The room is nice, super clean and the bed is very comfortable. I understood from Agado Booking Web that all the classic twin and double rooms have shower and bathtub when that was not the case. Only some has a bathtub and the one I was assigned to just has a shower without a shower booth or curtain to separate dry and wet zones. So, I requested for one night refund. It is very difficult to get to talk Agoda customer service staff to assist. However, the hotel staff handled the case professionally and politely. They kept apologizing and asked me to move to the room that has a bathtub for one night. My main concern was that there is no proper ventilation in spring time. Because the hotel is renovated from an old building which is the primary reason why I chose the property. The building layout does not seem safe for any cases of emergency evacuation. The ceiling is also quite low. The hotel did not turn on air conditioner; although it became warm already in April. So, the staff solved the ventilation problem by opening a double window but guest would lose some privacy because from my room I could see other rooms ‚ windows. So, I was not sure if others could see me. I believe that the hotel would be perfect during winter time or autumn but not warm spring and hot summer days. It is too stuffy.

    Thank you Budapest you were very kind to me and my daughter, and a huge shout out to team Nemzeti for ensuring a hassle-free stay for us. Located conveniently with bus/tram/metro services literally outside the main door, the hotel has all the basic amenities in place - clean room, daily service, helpful staff. There is no pool or a bathtub (at least wasn’t in ours) but you don’t really miss them since as a tourist you are pretty much out discovering the city rather than soaking in a bath. Also it is a city of spas so who needs a pool 😊 If convenience, comfort and value for money are your priorities then this is your go to place. And of course, the breakfast ensures a hearty, heavy tummy as you step out for the day.
