Gara Hotel

Everything was perfect, the location is fantastic, right near the town square and beautiful church, on the other side you have great views of the ocean from the terrace. The staff were really friendly and helpful, they went out of their way to make us feel at home. The room was beautiful, bed comfortable and bathroom good. The breakfast was good and it was lovely to eat it each morning in the courtyard.

Slight improvements in maintenance needed - during heavy rain a gutter was overflowing onto the courtyard very loudly at night. We were charged for teabags to use in the room…

Hotel is like old hacienda, with rooms on ground and 1st floors. It is very nicely decorated and you have a feeling you are back in old times. The hotel is right on the main street so the location is perfect. Parking is just a few minutes down the street, large, free public parking. The room has access to balcony with a manificent view of the ocean and pools.

Breakfast is very basic.

I’m very disappointed with the fact that I was double charged and when I reached out to the property they fobbed me off by saying my card was rejected. How if I’ve booked over booking.com? Be aware and check your account. The breakfast was a bit minimal and could offer more coffee options for example. When I asked the owner whether I could have a take-away breakfast as I had an early start he didn’t facilitate it for me. He didn’t care and didn’t offer to refund me the breakfast either. I’d stay at the boutique hotel that’s on the piazza it’s much nicer and has a similar price most likely.
