As many traveller noted the resort maybe dated. But our family and friends still thoroughly enjoying it especially the private beach. The resort it well maintained, and the staff there was exceptional. Definitely recommend the fire show and food at Takali. :)

We had a lovely stay at Shangri-La Yanuca Island. Our honeymoon feels very special with how attentive and kind the staff are. A big shout out and many thanks to Mr. Herbinson Barutu who gave us his utmost attention from letting us check in early upon arrvial and sending us gifts in the hotel room.
We would definitely recommend people staying here, great food, great location, and a great holiday destination for Fiji!

We caught influenza on day 4 of our trip at the resort which ended in endless doctor visits and being confined to our hotel rooms recovering. There were numerous sick staff members and the resort doctors told us there was an outbreak at the resort itself (which is how we got sick). Unfortunately no extra hygiene precautions were observed by staff to prevent the spread of the virus. Please avoid especially if you are travelling with young children. Quite an expensive holiday to spend sick.

A resort catering for young families
in a stunning location with staff exuding Fijian friendliness. However, for a cost twice that of a night in a top class Sydney hotel we could not see past the aged buildings with thin walls, tired furniture and ants, lack of poolside facilities (literally no seats available), lack of hot water in the rooms, and on-going construction in the poolside areas with chainsaws and rotary saws going all day long. There are better value for money options available
