Intelier Palacio San Martin

Location. Close to shopping, restaurants, church, university area.

Had a maintenance issue in room. Relocated to another room which was smaller than first room on lower floor.

Great location. They have an old and operable glass elevator that works! Comfy bed. Friendly check in staff. Recommend to friends.

We had an economy room and it was tight. No view.

Location, size of the room and the bathroom.

Lack of feeling welcomed, language barrier, very little communication on arrival.

With the exception of the Retiro it is close to all the major attractions. The hotel is an easy walk to the Mercado San Miguel, Plaza Mayor, Palacio Real and Puerto de Sol. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. The staff were courteous and helpful. A special mention for Ruben in the reception area and Sidi, who kept our room so nice and clean.

The wi-fi is poor, very, very poor. If it works at all, it is slow and frequently drops out. The hotel faces a noisy plaza. The side street (Calle Postigo de San Martin) is also noisy all day and well into the small hours of the morning. Our room (201) faced this street. Luckily, the glazing in the balcony door is thick enough to keep the noise out but you cannot keep the balcony doors open if you want the fresh air.
