Kitchen need a brighter light over bench

Mont Joie is the perfect holiday home. It is beautifully decorated and feels like your own private mini-chateau—and the views are a dream. The hosts (Vincent and family) and the lovely manager (Martine) have thought of every comfort and kindness. There’s AC for the scorching summer heat and a marvellous heated pool to while away sunny afternoons overlooking the Dordogne, hot air balloons, and some of the local chateaux. I couldn’t recommend this place, and the hosts, more highly. We’ll be back, and we’ll be dreaming of Beynac and Mont Joie until our return!

Location is superb and facilities were excellent. Martine supported us and was in contact the whole time, very pleased with the villa and the hosts.

Villa is difficult to access because of the special location. In hindsight, if had we known we wouldn’t have taken so much luggage, it’s a really long steep hill to access villa. I don’t recommend for the elderly or people with limited mobility, it’s a lot of climbing and walking with no vehicle access. Parking is a walk up the road ….. discounted to €5 per day.
