Surrounded by history and charm

Well-preserved, beautiful historic property with beautiful garden, of which we took full advantage. An easy walk to restaurants and bakery, and 10-minute drive to large supermarket. Our hosts were wonderful and provided very helpful sight seeing recommendations. They were very kind and charming. We had a wonderful time.

We loved the location of this beautiful, spacious home near the castles we wanted to see!

This picturesque home provided the French country experience we were hoping to have! The host was very welcoming and friendly. He took the time to meet us around our changing plans. He responded to our multiple questions before arrival. Upon arrival, he took the time to fully explain the use of the home, location of activities in the community, and he used a translator program to make sure we understood his English! He made sure we could contact him if we needed anything. Because we arrived around the holiday, the host also called ahead to the castles in the area to find out which ones were open. The home was well-appointed and had everything we needed for our extended stay. The gardens around the home were really beautiful for picture-taking and enjoyment. Saint-Martin-le-Beau was an interesting little town with several wonderful bakeries. Our goal of our stay was to show our adult daughters the French countryside and they LOVED their stay. The parking was safe, away from the street. The listing on the Booking website was accurate. As budget travelers, we were delighted that there was an option for us to clean before leaving to save money to be used elsewhere on our trip. We would have liked to have stayed longer and hope we can return again to relax in this quiet, little town!

It is a beautiful 15th century building that the owners have updated while keeping the ancient charm. It is conveniently located near many of the best chateaux. Bakery and butcher in easy walking distance and large grocery store about 9 minutes by car. Host greeted us with a treat upon our arrival! The hosts live right next door and we’re always available if we needed something.

We were a little nervous because we had to pay a deposit, which we had to do in cash because we didn’t have a check. But we shouldn’t have worried, because they returned it upon our departure with no problem. We chose to do our own cleaning rather than pay a cleaning fee, but they had everything we needed to do a swift clean.

Exceptional

The house is wonderful and unique, elegantly equipped with nice design touches! It is a one of a kind place with a historic feel! It is very quiet. There is all the equipment needed in the kitchen, also a washing machine, iron, hair dryer, even a garden grill!, etc. The hosts are super kind and always available. There is a very nice garden and patio, to enjoy morning and afternoon sunshine. The house is very conveniently located near Amboise and it allows for an easy access to many of Loire's castles, including Chenonceau.

Het huis is echt sprookjesachtig. We waren ontzettend onder de indruk toen wij arriveerden. Zowel aan de voorkant als aan de achterkant een prachtige tuin waar je heerlijk kunt ontbijten of borrelen. Daarnaast zijn de eigenaren super vriendelijk en hulpzaam.

Séjour agréable dans une belle demeure du pays

Belle maison ancienne de caractère, disposant d’un jardin à l’avant et à l’arrière, dans un beau petit village très calme. En 10 minutes, à travers une belle route dans la forêt, on rejoint Amboise. Propriétaires très aimables et chaleureux.
