Old Town Garden Room

Great location in Old Town. While basic, it had everything we needed for a short stay.

We were only told when we arrived that the courtyard was being used to store construction materials for the restaurant renovation. So not really a “garden room”. We didn’t even open the blinds because of it. Also there were restaurant workers working and talking outside our room until 11ish at night. I think it would be good to be upfront about the room being in the middle of a working area. A discount should have applied because of this.

Great clean tidy spot in old town close to everything and great hosts!

Location: Easy to reach from the nearest gate (approx. 5-minute walk). Situated just steps away from several great restaurants and bars. Apartment: Compact and practical, with everything needed for a short stay. It is cozy, quiet, and feels like a hidden sanctuary once you step inside. Facilities: The heating facility was very helpful for an early April visit. The Wi-Fi was stable and fast, and the shower was warm and pleasant. Ambiance: The room has a nostalgic charm that felt like visiting a granny’s home. Communication: Attentive, friendly, and always available. The hospitality made the stay feel extra cozy and welcoming. Price: very fair and reasonable.

I appreciated that Maricel allowed us to check in earlier than usually provided. Considering it is summer, the air con being already on was great. Good location in old town if you are only staying for a couple of days. Maricel was lovely to meet upon arrival.

When you stand in the shower, you can feel slime underneath your feet and the shower is conveniently not shown in any photographs. Like another review discussed, it is framed as a garden room with a garden and terrace. But what you aren't told is that the 'garden' is being used as a place for construction site storage. Therefore you won't ever use the terrace nor the garden. Attached to the garden is a restaurant which you can't hear, but their storage/staff room is right outside the room's door so it can get very noisy at early hours of the morning.
