About this villa rental
Villa Il Caggio is a splendid villa located on a farm just a few kilometers from San Gimignano, a characteristic village in the Chianti, Tuscany.
This area is among the most renowned in Italy and in the world for its food, wine, art and history. The villa is an excellent base for exploring the small villages among the Chianti hills, and enjoying an authentic, fun and delicious Tuscan experience.
The house has been recently renovated and subdivided into two units (the main house and an annex). Tastefully furnished in country style, the property offers all amenities and can accommmodate up to 14 people in 7 bedrooms.
Outside there is a private pool; sun deck with sun loungers and umbrellas; and a dining area covered by a pergola: a unique setting for enjoying the hot summer days and marvelous panoramic views of the surrounding hills and countryside.
Volterra, Certaldo, Florence, Siena, Pisa, Lucca and all of the other characteristic medieval villages in this splendid area of Tuscany are within easy reach.
At guests’ disposal: 7 bedrooms with air conditioning, to comfortably accomodate up to 14 people; large, enclosed, well-tended private garden; pool for guests’ exclusive use (14 x 7 m – maximum depth 1,4 m); room with billiard table; parking within the grounds; free wi-fi internet; panoramic view.
Distances: the center of San Gimignano with shops of all kinds only 8 km away, Certaldo 15 km, Volterra 25 km, Siena approximately 40 km, Florence approximately 50 km, Pisa (airport) 75 km.

1st floor: 3 double bedrooms each with ensuite bathroom with shower, 2 double bedrooms with king-size beds and ensuite bathroom with shower, toilet, living area.

We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday at Villa Il Caggio, we had a few problems with the air conditioning but Emma was very efficient and pleasant in doing her best to solve them. We were rather disappointed in finding the television wasn’t a smart set having pacifically enquired before hand and told there was.
The holiday was a success, we found the villa to be comfortable and clean.

We had a wonderful holiday and hope to return to this amazing house. It is a great place for a family get together. The pool and outdoor areas are beautiful and well maintained. The house is well designed - each bedroom has a bathroom inside it. An excellent place to rest - with excellent black-out shutters we slept very well. The only tricky bit was the gravel road leading up to the house - be careful especially if arriving at night for the first time! Still well worth it for the total peace and quiet. Highly recommend this house for a holiday to remember!

Pool is great. Rooms comfortable and each has an en suite. No fight over showers! Great spaces, nice to have a BBQ Rosemary and bay leaves at your doorstep to add to your recipes. Beautiful view from outdoor dining area. Well worth the walk up the road to watch sunset over the hills. Property in need of some minor care, a bedroom door doesn t close easily, noisy clicking AC in a few rooms, road could use a little grooming. We also recommend cutting hedges to enjoy beautiful view from outdoor dining area. Very accomodating owner, arrived as promised to open gate and show us around. We had to check out early and she was friendly and return to our call promptly to verify our stay had been satisfactory. loved walking up the road to enjoy view of vineyards such a pleaseure discover San Gimignsno wish we would have had time for a wine tasting up The road.
