Our room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The attention to detail was amazing and had everything you need and more! Perfect central location .

Location ,although right in town ,it was nice and quiet. Tastefully decorated. Real milk in the fridge! Warm rooms.

The renovated Vicarage is utterly beautiful, and so quiet! Right on the main street, the Vicarage is easy to find, and easy to come and go from. Parking is at the front door and lots of shops, walks and cafes within a short distance. There’s a kitchenette and laundry (laundry 1-6pm) which made our stay very easy. Staff were very discreet, (not always on site) and very friendly and helpful. Having a shared sitting room was a lovely way to be able to ‘spread out’ a bit more than just feeling contained to our (generously sized) room. The Linden Leaves toiletries were so lovely. For people who struggle with “air fresheners”, this place is beautifully clean without being overly perfumed. Just lovely.

The bed has developed quite a personality - because of the “one-way” design, the mattresses can’t be fully turned to maintain their structure. This meant that the outer edge is always the outer edge, and due to visitors constantly sitting on the edges, the bed had developed a slope away from a central lumpy hillock. Not our favourite bed in Aotearoa.

The decor was beautiful and right in the Heart of town. I was a little concerned as it’s not far from the road but didn’t hear a thing. we were in a room at the front of the house downstairs. We really loved the little night cap Touch of the local gin. Very good recommendations for food and things to do.
