Lake Ruataniwha Holiday Park

Kitchenware were provided for free. Free parking on the site. Cute cabin with fridge and tv.

The bathroom, showers and kitchen were for a 250 meter walk from my cabin which in the winter season was a bit chilly walk.

I had one of the LV pods and it was so lovely and clean and great bedding/towels, shared facilities were good, fab hot shower! Right next to a beautiful lake, so peaceful! If you want to go into town somebody needs to drive but that didn’t bother me 😀 Good location to visit Mount cook / tekapo for an affordable price !

The employees at the reception were very kind. The cabin seemed clean, as well as the toilets/kitchen.

Unfortunately, the children couldn't use most playing facilities properly. They definitely have had their best years. The slides don't slide, no cover on the trampoline springs so they couldn't use it and there was no heating possibility in the showers (or we didn't find them). In autumn/winter we wouldn't recommend it for younger children. Can imagine it's lots of fun at the lake during summer, so you might not miss the playgrounds as much. Outside of the kitchen were no bins for regular or biological waste, so we took it to the small bin at the cabin. The bunk bed made quite some noise when moving just a little bit (and the mattress extremely soft) what makes it difficult to relax for light sleepers
